K2 Base Camp Trek — 16 Days
Skardu to Concordia across the Baltoro Glacier, with views of K2 and the Karakoram high peaks
The K2 Base Camp trek is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in the world, starting from Skardu and taking you across the Baltoro Glacier to the base of K2. The trek spans 16 days and involves eight days of continuous glacier travel. Along the route, trekkers witness some of the most spectacular mountain scenery on Earth, including views of K2, Broad Peak, and Gasherbrum. The physical demands are substantial—the trail climbs steeply, the glacier presents routefinding challenges, and altitude affects most trekkers. The reward is direct access to one of Earth's most concentrated regions of extreme altitude and a landscape where few humans venture. This trek is suited only to those with strong hill fitness, prior high-altitude experience, and full acclimatization discipline.
Best time to go: June- Sept
